At TLA Developments, we’re proud to support the communities in which we do business, because we don’t just work there, we live there too! That’s why we are pleased to sponsor KidSport Victoria/Greater Victoria and Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) in Edmonton.

Playing sports has numerous benefits for children, not just for their cardiovascular health and to help them maintain a healthy body weight, sports also teach children teamwork, leadership skills, and helps them with social interactions. Studies also show children who participate in sports seem to do better in school. But, not all children can afford to take part in sport activities, and that’s where KidSport Victoria/Greater Victoria comes in! It provides grants of up to $600 to help cover the costs of registration fees so kids aged 18 and under in Greater Victoria can play a season of sport. The TLA Group was made aware of this organization through our partnership of the Reinvestors.

It is estimated that there are two million homeless dogs in Canada and upwards of four million un-owned cats, and as animal-lovers and pet owners, staff at TLA Developments believes all dogs and cats deserve a loving home. That’s where Second Chance Animal Rescue Society comes in. SCARS is dedicated to reducing the number of homeless and abandoned animals in Northern Alberta. The organization believes there is a suitable home for all homeless pets, young and old, big and little. The TLA Group was made aware of this organization through family members.
